Everyone is calling for more workforce diversity in our companies

It seems that nowadays everyone is calling for more workforce (employee) diversity in our companies. The logic behind this is pretty straightforward. More diverse employees' backgrounds will bring more perspectives to the table, thus challenging prevailing business assumptions and logic, while improving the quality of decisions being made and fostering innovations. But where do we draw the line? How much diversity is enough? I believe that employees must be recruited and selected at least based on similar beliefs and values. In this way, it is possible to shape the behavior of employees within the company and create a desired organizational culture, which is probably one of the most important ingredients of successful companies, if not the most important one.
